Two Tails

Terms of use

Last updated 2 November 2026. The developer wrote these terms himself. A lawyer has not reviewed them.

These terms are an agreement between you and Gregory Lum, the individual developer who makes and runs Two Tails ("we", "us"). They cover your Two Tails account, your household, and the sync service. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Two Tails is free and has no ads or in-app purchases.

The app license

The app itself is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. We do not use a custom license. These terms add to Apple's agreement; if they conflict, Apple's agreement wins for anything it covers.

That agreement is between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app, its support, and any claims about it. Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce it against you.

When you use Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or Google Calendar, you must also follow Apple's and Google's own terms for those services.

Your content

What you put into Two Tails stays yours. You let us store, copy, and send it to the members of your household only so the app can work. See the privacy policy.

What not to do

Not medical advice

Two Tails is a log for lists and workouts. It does not give medical, health, or fitness advice, and it is not a medical device. Numbers from Apple Health are shown as Apple Health reports them and may be incomplete or wrong. Talk to a doctor or other qualified professional before you start a new exercise program or make a health decision. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

The service

We run Two Tails as one person. We will try to keep it working, but we do not promise it will always be available, free of errors, or keep every feature. Your data lives on your phone first, but keep anything you cannot afford to lose somewhere else too. We may change or stop the service. If we decide to shut down the sync service, we will post the date on this site at least 30 days ahead when we can.

Disclaimer

To the extent the law allows, Two Tails is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some places do not allow these exclusions, so some may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Two Tails. Because Two Tails is free, our total liability for any claim about it is limited to US $50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or takes away rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

Ending your use

You can stop at any time and delete your account in the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people or the service at risk. We will tell you why by email when we can. When an account is closed, we delete its data as the privacy policy describes. The sections on your content, medical advice, the disclaimer, limitation of liability, and governing law continue to apply.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect. If you keep using Two Tails after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using it and delete your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that is not settled by talking it through will be heard in the state or federal courts in Washington, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it in your local courts. If one part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
